KABALE LEADERS' CONFERENCE

For the preachers of the gospel, serving in the villages is not fun! Faced with many oppositions including witchcraft, drunkards and evil spirits, the Pastors and leaders preaching in these hard to reach places are faced with little income which they collect from Sunday offertories and therefore most of them have to depend on cultivating some crops which they depend on to feed their families.
Despite the increasingly difficult life in such places these Pastors have to take care of God's flock, nevertheless these men and women of God has no access to Literature and Leadership training courses to equip them as leaders and consequently the church has not grown deep in the knowledge of the word of God.
Our church has a vision to reach out and train such leader, for we believe that when you train a leader, you will change a church, a community and a nation!
Last week we had a Leaders' training conference, where we invited 300 Pastors and Leaders from three districts of Uganda and for 5 days, we fed them and accommodated them and had men of God teach them the word of God.
With support from our friend Pastors Tom and Sandy McElfresh from Virginia we were able to organize a Leaders conference in to three churches in our city. This brought amazing unity in the body of Christ.
Tom and Sandy came with other Leaders that have had an experience in leadership; Dr. Steve Harbin from Tennessee and Pastor Roberto Martins from Brazil. These with a few Pastors from Uganda taught the Leaders on church leadership, knowing scriptures, Marriage relationships and unity in the body of Christ.
There was such a move of the Holy Spirit so much so that leaders were reconciled one with another and marriages relationships restored.
The Pastors and Leaders were also encouraged in the Lord and the work of God. The many leaders who had given up because of the pressure of ministry challenges and hardships in Africa, were strengthened and revived and went back with new zeal to serve the Lord.
Thank you all dear friends and churches that contributed financially towards this conference.
May God bless you abundantly.

Am Pr kaija Nathan from Kisoro, Uganda. I was so touched and inspired in the leaders conference. My own burden for revival and community transformation was rekindled. Keep up the good work!
