THE FALL BACK!

Well, my friends i have been so busy lately that i have failed to update my blog. But i have seen God's hand and been able to learn a lot. I am so grateful for your love and support for the great vision the Lord gave to me to transform our communities especially by helping hopeless and helpless children. I am always reminded of Jesus's words when he said, "Let the children come to me...!" For whatever we do to these children will contribute to the type of leaders the next generation will have.
I always thank God for the opportunity and door he has opened for me to be able to travel once and sometimes twice to the USA and share with friends the great things God is doing in Africa.
It has been a joyful, fruitful and successful trip!
I am now coming to the conclusion of my trip, i will be speaking at Temple Baptist church in Morganton Georgia, today November 6th 2011.
I like coming to Georgia this time of the year especially because trees look very pretty. In the USA it is called the Fall season. Starting with the month of October, it begins to cool down and this has an effect on the leaves, so they start to change colors. Looking at the trees you would be amazed to see different color in the woods (forest, shamba) which range from green to red, brown, orange, yellow, purple...very pretty to look at! It is nothing like we have in Africa. Every weekend, people travel from big towns and cities from the low lying areas where the leaves take long to turn color because it is warmer there, they come over to the mountains to watch these wonderful looking trees!
Soon after the leaves would start falling off from the trees. Most tree shed off all the leaves. The first time i saw this, i knew the trees were dead and dried. Because in Africa when a tree sheds all its leaves that is a sign that it is dead and it will never have its leaves back. But it is a different story here, soon after winter season during the spring, the leaves will grow again and flourish during the summer season, this cycle continues!
Something else that happens differently around this time of the year is that today November 6th 2011 time is falling back on the clock!!! This means that every clock goes back by one hour! They call is the Fall back! What happens is that the nights will be longer than the days. There will be day light when it is still night time. Amazing! This never happens in Africa.
It is always good to experience the different things that go on in our different cultures! All this show the greatness and majesty of our God! He surely has a sense of art and humor!
Ok my friends, the next time i write here i will be in Africa. I am so excited to see my family and ministry. It was a joy to meet most of you and meet new friends here and thank you for taking good care of me and making my stay enjoyable. Until next time, God bless you!
