A CHRISTIAN SCHOOL FOR OUR COMMUNITY

EBENEZAR CHRISTIAN ACADEMY

Last week we started our Christian school, we have called EBENEZAR CHRISTIAN ACADEMY. This is the day we have been looking forward to. We have been praying that God will help us to start a school with a Christian foundation.
We have been sending our children to other schools; some of them private and others government schools. But with time things have changed; religion and Christian values are no longer an issue in these schools. And yet our desire is send back into the community educated godly people that will help to transform communities. We feel it is important to give our children education with a Christian background, so that we can help uphold Christian values in this generation and the next generation.
With God’s help we located a big building in our village, we have enrolled teachers and bought a few facilities that we can start with, and last week we took a step of faith and started the school.
The community is very excited that we have started for them a school. This will help the so many children that have no opportunity to go to school. Already, we have so many children and yet we have started with fewer classes. We decided to begin with classes up to P.4 (Grade 4) but we were overwhelmed with the children that turned up for enrollment. We already have 150 registered children and more are registering every day.
We need prayers and support; we still have to pay rent for the school premises. We also need money to pay the teachers and buy school supplies and furniture.  We give these children lunch every day and most of them this is the only meal they take. We also plan to buy shoes and uniform for all the children. It is hard to take care for these children, especially those that don’t have sponsors.
Our vision is to make this the best school in Kabale and Uganda. We believe with God’s help we will produce godly men and women that will help us to pursue our vision to transform our community and the communities around us. We will also teach skills to the poor children and orphans from our community, which will help them to get jobs and be self sustaining. With God we know that all things are possible!
Please pray for us and support us. We believe together we can make a difference in our community.
