USA TRIP: TRAVELLING AS A MISSIONARY

TRIP 2012

TRAVELING AS A MISSIONARY
My trip started on the 17th of August, though on a low key note. It turned out that my suitcase was not checked so this meant that I had to stay in the USA for the next 10 weeks without clothes and personal items.
I traveled as a missionary and this reminded me of the words of Jesus when he told his disciples that wherever you go do not take with you anything. Well strange but true is I was in a foreign land without my suitcase.
Praise God my friends in California took me shopping for clothes and personal items. Thank you all my Californian friends that helped to start off my trip well.
CALIFORNIA
The first leg of my trip was California. It was a joy to be re-united with my amazing friends in California. Though it was a rather short trip, I tried to get the most out it.
My first success story was my meeting with the Elders and Leaders at New Life Christian Church that had been partnering with us to do administration for our finances and paper on a temporary basis. However in our meeting this time, it turned out that New Life Christian church will partner with our children ministry (House of Hope) on a more permanent partnership. Jackie Yancy volunteered to run our administration. We believe this is going to be a turning point for our children ministry.
I had a good time at New Life and preached at the Food pantry where the church distributes food to so many people. After my preaching 6 souls come forward to receive Jesus as Lord and Savior. I also preached in the Sunday service.
